Meet the Family Behind Maine Coon Valley
Hello, I'm Natalie, and together with my son Joel, we're the family behind Maine Coon Valley.
Our love for Maine Coons began with a fascination for their incredible size, striking appearance and gentle nature. It didn't take long before we completely fell in love with the breed, and what started as a passion soon became a commitment to raising healthy, confident and affectionate Maine Coons that would become cherished members of families across Australia.
For us, breeding has never simply been about producing beautiful kittens. Every decision we make is guided by one question: "Would we want this kitten to become part of our own family?"
That philosophy shapes everything we do.
Many of our breeding cats have been raised by us since they were kittens, and in some cases we've also raised their parents and grandparents. This gives us an intimate understanding of our bloodlines, personalities and temperaments that can only come from years of living alongside them every day.
Our cats are not raised in cages or separate breeding facilities. They are part of our family and share our daily lives. From the moment our kittens are born, they are surrounded by love, gentle handling and the everyday sights and sounds of a busy home. We believe these early experiences help develop the confident, affectionate personalities that Maine Coons are so well known for.
Nothing brings us greater happiness than receiving updates from families months or even years later, showing us how much their Maine Coon has become part of their lives. Seeing our kittens sleeping on sofas, supervising home offices, playing with children or simply following their owners from room to room reminds us why we do what we do.
